Subsidiaries
e-llan Communication was incorporated in October 2007 to carry out the Authority’s wholesale telecommunications operations, we are now able to exploit the commercial potential of the spare capacity on the UK-IOM sub-sea fibre optic cable. The company began commercial operations in December 2007, following approval from the Council of Ministers and DTI, and provides telecommunications services to e-businesses on a wholesale basis. The entry of e-llan Communications Limited into the telecoms sector has enhanced the fibre optic infrastructure of the Island.
ManxCable Company Limited are responsible for the operation and maintenance of the electrical interconnector cable between the Isle of Man and the UK.
PGT Limitied were incorporated in December 2001 to construct and commission Pulrose CCGT power station. The company is now dormant and is retained solely to preserve warranty rights.
