BOROUGH OF DOUGLAS (YORK ROAD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2005

The Department gives notice that it intends to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit the use to vehicular traffic of that section of York Road, in the Borough of Douglas, between its junction with Woodbourne Road and its junction with Palatine Road.

The Order will come into effect from 10.00 a.m. on Tuesday 19th April 2005 and continue in force until 12.00 Noon on Tuesday 19th April 2005 or until the manhole work is completed, whichever is the earlier.

BOROUGH OF DOUGLAS (FANCY STREET) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) (No. 2) ORDER 2005

The Department gives notice that it has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit the use to vehicular traffic of section of Fancy Street, Douglas, from its junction with Victoria Street to its junction with King Street.

The Order comes into effect from 6.00 a.m. on Wednesday 13 April 2005 and continues in force until 6.00 p.m. on Thursday 21 April 2005 or until the painting work is completed, whichever is the earlier.

A7 MAIN ROAD (BALLABEG) (ARBORY) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2005

The Department gives notice that it has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit the use to vehicular traffic of that section of the A7 Main Road, Ballabeg, Arbory between its junction with Friary Cottages and its junction with the Friary Farm.

The Order comes into effect from 6.00 a.m. on Tuesday 12th April 2005 and continues until 6.00 p.m. on Friday 29th April 2005 or until the IRIS work is completed, whichever is the earlier.

Access will be maintained to Friary Park at all times via the north side of its junction with the A7 Main Road.

Access will also be maintained to properties on Main Road, Ballabeg.

An alternative route for through traffic will be via the A28 Ballanorris Road and the A5 Shore Road.

A3 BALLACRAINE TO KIRK MICHAEL ROAD (GERMAN/MICHAEL) (TEMPORARY WEIGHT RESTRICTION) (NO 2) ORDER 2005

The Department gives notice that it intends to make an Order the effect of which will be to impose a temporary weight restriction of 3 ½ tonnes gross on the A3 Ballacraine to Kirk Michael Road, in the Parishes of German and Michael, between its junction with the A1 Douglas to Peel Road at Ballacraine and its junction with the A4 Peel to Kirk Michael Coast Road at Kirk Michael Corner.

The Order will come into force from 8.00 a.m. until 5.00 p.m. each day from Sunday 17th April 2005 and continue in force until Saturday 30th April 2005 or until the plane and overlay work is completed, whichever is the earlier.

Access will be maintained for emergency vehicles and public service vehicles.

An alternative route for HGV's will be via the A18 Mountain Road.

A3 RAMSEY TO CASTLETOWN ROAD (GERMAN) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2005

The Department gives notice that it intends to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit the use to vehicular traffic of that section of the A3 Ramsey to Castletown Road between its junction with the A1 Douglas to Peel Road at Ballacraine and its junction with the A30 Patrick Road at The Hope.

The Order will come into effect from 6.00 a.m. on Saturday 16th April 2005 and continue in force until 7.00 p.m. on Sunday 17th April 2005 or until the traffic signal work is completed whichever is the earlier.

An alternative route for traffic will be via Station Road, St Johns and the Patrick Road.

School Crossing Patrols are required for the following areas

Woodbourne Road/York Road, Douglas Woodbourne Road, St Mary’s School Marown School

These posts are 7 ½ hours a week

Also

Braddan School Bus

Afternoons only, 3 ¾ hours per week

The positions are term time only with a retainer paid in respect of the school holidays.
