DOUGLAS ORDERS

The Department gives notice that it has made the following Orders under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1985:-

1. BOROUGH OF DOUGLAS (VARIOUS ROADS) (RESERVED PARKING PLACES) (AMENDMENT) (NO 10) ORDER 2004 – the effect of which will be on and from Wednesday 19th January 2005 to create reserved parking places for vehicles displaying a permit issued by the Department on the following roads in Douglas:-

1. Falcon Cliff Terrace outside No 9.

2. Malvern Road outside No 6.

2. BOROUGH OF DOUGLAS (VARIOUS ROADS) (RESERVED PARKING PLACES) (AMENDMENT) (NO 11) ORDER 2004 – the effect of which will be on and from Wednesday 19th January 2005 to create reserved parking places for vehicles displaying a permit issued by the Department on the following roads in Douglas:-

1. Kensington Road fronting No 11.

2. Upper Dukes Road fronting No 10 Poplar Terrace.

Copies of the Orders are available for inspection at the Department’s main reception desk on the ground floor at the Sea Terminal, Douglas, or Douglas Corporation, Town Hall, Ridgeway Street, Douglas, by any person, free of charge, during normal office hours.

ARBORY

The Department gives notice that it has made the following Orders under Section 1 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1985:

1. THE ROAD TRAFFIC (PROHIBITION OF WAITING) (SCHOOL ENTRANCES) (AMENDMENT) (NO 1) ORDER 2004 – the effect of which will be on and from Wednesday 19th January 2005 to impose no waiting restrictions between 8.00 a.m. and 5.00 p.m. on the northwest side of Main Road, Ballabeg in the Parish of Arbory from a point 139 metres west of the centre line of Vicarage Close in a westerly direction for a distance of 25 metres.

2. PARISH OF ARBORY (MAIN ROAD, BALLABEG) (PROHIBITION OF WAITING) (BUS STOP) ORDER 2004 – the effect of which will be on and from Wednesday 19th January 2005 to impose no waiting restrictions on all vehicles except Public Passenger Vehicles engaged in a regular service between 7.00 a.m. and 7.00 p.m. on the northwest side of Main Road, Ballabeg in the Parish of Arbory from a point 112 metres west of the centreline of Vicarage Close in a westerly direction for a distance of 27 metres (adjacent to Arbory School).

3. PARISH OF ARBORY (MAIN ROAD, BALLABEG) (PROHIBITION OF WAITING) ORDER 2004 – the effect of which will be on and from Wednesday 19th January 2005 to impose no waiting restrictions on the northwest side of Main Road, Ballabeg in the Parish of Arbory from a point 102 metres west of the centre line of Vicarage Close in a westerly direction for a distance of 10 metres (adjacent to Arbory School).

Copies of the Orders are available for inspection at the Department’s main reception desk on the ground floor at the Sea Terminal, Douglas, or the offices of Arbory Commissioners, by any person, free of charge, during normal office hours.

BOROUGH OF DOUGLAS (PULROSE ROAD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2005

The Department gives notice that it has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit the use to vehicular traffic of that section of Pulrose Road, Douglas, between its junction with Springfield Road and its junction with the proposed Alder Road.

The Order comes into force at 6.00 a.m. on Monday 24th January 2005 and continues in force until 6.00 p.m. on Friday 22nd July 2005 or until the sewer and services installation work is completed, whichever is the earlier.

An alternative route for traffic will be via the new section of Alder Road linking Pulrose Road with Laburnum Road.

Access will be maintained to shops and residents.

PATRICK STREET (PEEL) (TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF PARKING PLACES) ORDER 2005

The Department gives notice that it intends to make an Order the effect of which will be to suspend parking on both sides of Patrick Street, Peel, between its junction with Station Road and its junction with Lake Lane.

The Order will be in force from 6.00 a.m. on Saturday 29th January 2005 until 6.00 p.m. on Tuesday 1st February 2005 or until the demolition work on No 4 Patrick Street is completed, whichever is the earlier.

A one-way system will be in force on Patrick Street between Station Road and Lake Lane for the duration of this Order.

PARKING PLACES (CASTLETOWN) (AMENDMENT) ORDER 2004

The Department gives notice that it has made an Order under Sections 10 and 11 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1985, the effect of which will be on and from Wednesday 19th January 2005 to create a disabled parking bay on the south side of Malew Street, Castletown, 13 metres south of its junction with Mill Street and adjacent to the Millhope elderly persons complex.

A copy of the Order with plan is available for inspection at the Department’s main reception desk on the ground floor at the Sea Terminal, Douglas, or the offices of Castletown Commissioners, by any person, free of charge, during normal office hours.

A22 STRANG ROAD (BRADDAN) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2005

The Department gives notice that it intends to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit the use to vehicular traffic of that section of the A22 Strang Road, Braddan, from a point south of its junction with the property ‘Abbey View’ northwards to its junction with the B21 East Baldwin Road.

The Order will come into force at 6.00 a.m. on Friday 28th January 2005 and continue in force until 6.00 p.m. on Friday 11th February 2005 or until the M.E.A. cable work is completed, whichever is the earlier.

UNNAMED OLD PUBLIC ROAD (MAUGHOLD/LONAN) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2005

The Department gives notice that it intends to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit the use to vehicular traffic of the unnamed old public road between Glen Mona, Maughold, leading westwards to Slieau Lhean and then south-eastwards to Ballaragh.

The Order will come into force at 6.00 a.m. on Tuesday 25th January 2005 and continue in force until 6.00 p.m. on Wednesday 20th April 2005 in order to control erosion of the road over the winter months.
