The Department of Transport gives notice that by an Order made under the provisions of the Road Races Act 1982, the sections of roads set out below and described in paragraphs 1 to 23 (hereinafter referred to as ‘The Course’) during the periods of time set out therein (hereinafter referred to as the ‘Race Periods’) will be closed to traffic for motor car races on:-

PART IV General Each section of any of the roads specified in the foregoing paragraphs of this Schedule shall include such portions of any road leading into it for a distance of 150 metres from the point where that portion joins the section aforementioned, but so that such distance may be reduced by such amount as may be permitted by the senior police officer or any constable or marshal authorised by him in that behalf and shall in his opinion be consistent with the safety of the public.

1. The attention of the public is drawn particularly to the general paragraph after paragraph 24.
2. During the race periods the Course will be closed to all traffic unless specially authorised.
3. The Course will be re-opened for traffic by an official motor vehicle displaying a notice “Roads Open” proceeding along the Course upon the completion of racing in each race period and by the passing of such vehicle, the part of the Course so passed is open for traffic.
4. In the event of any queries a helpline is available on 852440 5. A copy of the Order may be inspected at any police station or at the Department of Transport, Sea Terminal, Douglas.
6. Offences against the Act or the Order render the offender liable to a penalty not exceeding £2,500.

(TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF PARKING PLACES) ORDER 2006
The Department gives notice that under Section 3 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1985 it has made an Order the effect of which is to suspend parking on both sides of Hope Street, Douglas, fronting Nos. 19-25 Hope Street, and the south-western side of St George’s Street, Douglas adjacent to the property known as the Forester’s Arms.
The Order comes into force at 6.00am on Monday 31 July 2006 and continues in force until 6.00pm on Monday 28 August 2006 or until the demolition work is completed, whichever is the earlier.
The contractor carrying out this work is Manx Demolition Ltd, telephone 495903.
This Order temporarily suspends parking on sections of the Hope Street and St George’s Street, Douglas whilst demolition work takes place.
BOROUGH OF DOUGLAS (ST GEORGE’S STREET)
(TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2006
The Department gives notice that under Section 38 of the Highways Act it intends to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit the use to vehicular and pedestrian traffic of that section of St George’s Street, Douglas between its junction with Hope Street and its junction with St George’s Terrace.
The Order will come into force from 6.00am to 6.00pm on Sundays 6 August 2006 and 13 August 2006 or until the Demolition work is completed, whichever is the earlier.
An alternative route will be via Upper Church Street, Douglas.
The temporary one-way system over this section of St George’s Street, Douglas will be suspended on the days during which this Order is in force.

(TEMPORARY IMPOSITION OF ONE-WAY TRAFFIC) ORDER 2006
The Department gives notice that under Section 3 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1985 it has made an Order the effect of which is to require vehicular traffic to travel in a south-easterly direction only, on St George’s Street, Douglas, from its junction with Hope Street to its junction with Athol Street.
The Order comes into effect at 6.00pm on Monday 31 July 2006 and continues in force until 6.00pm on Monday 28 August 2006 or until the demolition work has been completed, whichever is the earlier.

This Order effects the temporary imposition of one-way traffic over a section of St George’s Street, Douglas.
BOROUGH OF DOUGLAS (STRAND STREET LANE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) (NO 4) ORDER 2006
Under Section 3 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1985 the Department gives notice that it intends to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit the use to vehicular traffic of that section of Strand Street Lane, Douglas, between its junction with Granville Street and its junction with Howard Street.
The Order will come into force from 6.00am on Thursday 3 August 2006 and continue in force until 6.00pm on Thursday 19 October 2006, or until the construction work is completed, whichever is the earlier.
This Order replaces the Borough of Douglas (Strand Street Lane) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) (No 3) Order 2006.
Access to properties will be maintained.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) (NO 2) ORDER 2006
Under Section 3 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1985 the Department gives notice that it intends to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit the use to vehicular traffic of that section of Castle Street, Douglas from its junction with Granville Street to its junction with 24 Hour Passage.
The Order will come into effect from 6.00am on Sunday 6 August 2006 and continue in force until 6.00pm on Wednesday 9 August 2006 or until the electrical cabling work is completed, whichever is the earlier.

BOROUGH OF DOUGLAS (WESTMORELAND ROAD)
(TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF PARKING PLACES) ORDER 2006
The Department gives notice that under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1985 it intends to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from parking on that section of Westmoreland Road, Douglas from its junction with the main entrance to the former hospital for a distance of approximately 25 metres in a south-easterly direction.
The Order will come into effect at 1.00pm on Saturday 5 August 2006 and continue in force until 9.00pm on Friday 18 August 2006 or until the filming work in the former hospital is completed, whichever is the earlier.

LITTLE MILL ROAD (ONCHAN)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2006
The Department gives notice that under Section 3 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1985 it has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit the use to vehicular traffic of that section of Little Mill Road, Onchan, between its junction with Ashley Road/School Road and its junction with the A18 Hillberry Road.
The Order comes into force at 6.00am on Monday 31 July 2006 and continues in force until 6.00pm on Friday 4 August 2006 or until the duct and access chamber work is completed, whichever is the earlier.
Access to properties will be maintained.
An alternative route for traffic will be via the A18 Hillberry Road and Main Road, Onchan.

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
(RIVER WALK) (BRADDAN) (FILMING) ORDER 2006
The Department gives notice that, under Section 3(A) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1985, it has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit the use to through traffic of that section of River Walk, Braddan from its junction with River Vale/River Heights.
The Order is in effect from 6.30pm to 7.00am on Tuesday/Wednesday 1/2 August 2006 and Wednesday/Thursday 2/3 August 2006.
Access will be maintained for Emergency Vehicles at all times.
Access for all vehicles will also be maintained except for the short period of time when Filming is actually taking place.

B9 BALLACRYE ROAD (BALLAUGH) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2006The Department gives notice that under Section 38 of the Highways Act 1986 it has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit the use to vehicular and pedestrian traffic of the B9 Ballacrye Road, Ballaugh from its junction with the A3 Kirk Michael to Ramsey Road for a distance of approximately 300 metres to a point adjacent to Kere Volley.
The Order comes into force from 8.00am on Monday 31 July 2006 and continues in force until 5.30pm on Tuesday 1 August 2006 or until the water main laying work is completed, whichever is the earlier.
An alternative route will be via the A14 Clannagh Road or the A17 St Jude’s Road, Lezayre.

D30 LOWER DHOON ROAD (MAUGHOLD)
(TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2006
The Department gives notice that under Section 38 of the Highways Act 1986 it intends to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit the use to through pedestrian and vehicular traffic of that section of the D30 Lower Dhoon Road, Maughold between its junction with the A2 Laxey to Ramsey Road and the entrance to the property known as “Callan.”
The Order will come into effect at 6.00pm on Thursday 3 August 2006 and continue in force until 7.30am on Saturday 5 August 2006 or until the filming work is completed, whichever is the earlier.
An alternative route for traffic will be via the A2 Laxey to Ramsey Road.

FORMER RAILWAY LINE (BALLAUGH)
(TEMPORARY CLOSURE) (NO 3) ORDER 2006
The Department gives notice that under Section 38 of the Highways Act 1986 it intends to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit the use to through pedestrian and vehicular traffic of a section of the Former Railway Line, Ballaugh, between its junction with the A10 Ballaugh to Ramsey Coast Road and a point 500 metres west of the A10.
The Order will come into effect from 6.00am on Monday 7 August 2006 and continue in force until 6.00pm on Monday 14 August 2006 or until the enabling work for the water main is completed, whichever is the earlier.
An alternative route will be via the A3 Kirk Michael to Ramsey Road.
Access will be maintained for Emergency Vehicles at all times.
