Important Safety Notices

The Isle of Man Office of Fair Trading wishes to make the public aware of three important safety notices which have been issued in relation to the following products:

Wilko Fibre Tip Pens sold at Shoprite Living stores and Shoprite Douglas.

This safety notice relates to Wilko fibre tip pens with item codes 0414902, 0417499, 0316425 and 0414900.

The pen lids should have an air hole in them in case they are accidently swallowed or inhaled, but the air holes in the lids on these particular pens have been found to be fully or partially blocked. They are being recalled as a precautionary measure.

If you’ve bought any of these pens locally at a Shoprite Living store or at Shoprite Douglas store you should return them to the store for a full refund.

If you’ve bought any at a Wilko store elsewhere you should contact the Wilko Customer Care team on 08000 329 329 for advice.

If you have given any of these pens as a gift, please advise the recipient of the recall.

Next Heart-Shaped Tea Light Holders

This safety notice relates to Next heart-shaped tea light holders with item code 6663981 (set of three). Next is recalling them as a precautionary measure.

Due to their construction, the tea light holders could potentially cause tea lights to flare up.

If you’ve bought any of these holders you should stop using them immediately and contact Next on 0333 777 8185 to arrange a collection or return them to the local Next store. If you have given any of these holders as a gift, please ask the recipient to contact Next.

Fisher Price Car Seats Sold by ARGOS

This safety notice relates to three Fisher Price branded car seats sold by ARGOS, which consumers may have bought online or on trips to the UK. The car seats concerned are:-

• Fisher Price Group 0-1 Car Seat Catalogue number 414/9314
• Fisher Price Group 1 Car Seat Catalogue number 413/4082
• Fisher Price Group 123 Car Seat Catalogue number 390/9720

The safety restraints on these car seats do not fully comply with test requirements and could compromise a child’s safety in the event of an accident.

If you have one of these car seats, you should stop using it immediately and return it to an Argos store for a full refund or replacement. Alternatively, call the Helpline number 0345 600 5388 for advice.
