Chef Stacie Stewart to attend Isle of Man Food & Drink Festival 2011

The organisers of the Island’s Third Food & Drink Festival are pleased to announce that Stacie Stewart will be attending the Festival on Saturday 24th September 2011 to display the skills which led to her place in the semi-finals of the 2010 Masterchef competition. Stacie now owns The Beehive Bakery and is in demand for key food exhibitions such as Ideal Home, BBC Good Food and Masterchef Live.

Stacie has a particular passion for making cakes, puddings and pies and is dedicated to using as much fresh local produce as possible, with no added preservatives. Coming from the North East, she has a reputation for down-to-earth warmth, so expect traditional cooking with flair and a bit of attitude. She will also judge the finals of the ‘I Love Manx Family Cook Competition’ and enjoy a walk around the Festival, meeting exhibitors and visitors.

When not cooking, Stacie enjoys a ride out on her Lambretta 1968 so a trip around the TT course on a different form of wheels might be arranged! Stacie said: “I’ve not been to the Island before so I’m really looking forward to the trip and to cooking with local produce. I’m passionate about the value and pleasure of using local ingredients and I look forward to creating something special for Festival goers to taste”.
