Don't forget to register to vote

GOVERNMENT is reminding residents of the benefits of ensuring their early inclusion on the next Register of Electors by returning the registration forms which are being sent to all households.

Although a system of rolling registration is now in operation, which enables electors to update their details for inclusion on the revisions to the register quarterly, registering now will ensure that electors will be eligible to vote in any local authority elections or House of Keys by-elections which might arise during the year. All registration forms should to be completed and returned to the Registration Unit no later than Friday 14th September 2012 to ensure inclusion in the next revision of the register.

Current registers are available for inspection at local authority offices around the Island as well as the General Registry, Tynwald Library and at the Electoral Registration Unit in Douglas. Please ensure that your details are included in the Register.

If you have not yet registered, or wish to amend any details on your current registration, you can contact the Registration Unit on 685754, or by calling in, between 9.00am and 5.30pm Monday to Thursday or 9.00am to 5.00pm on Friday, at the office of the Electoral Registration Unit which is on the 3rd floor of Illiam Dhone House, 2 Circular Road, Douglas, IM1 1PQ. Or you can email the Registration Unit in order to request a registration form.
