Legal Practitioners

Only Advocates of the Manx Bar and Barristers, Advocates or Solicitors qualified in England and Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland (or in Any member State of the European Communities or a component part of such a State; any of the Channel Islands; any Member State of the Commonwealth or a component of such a State; The United States of America or any of its States; South Africa), who are registered under the Legal Practitioners Act 1986, are permitted to undertake legal work in the Isle of Man. However, only Advocates of the Manx Bar are permitted to conduct proceedings in Manx Courts and certain tribunals or to prepare documents relating to Manx real estate.
