Policyholder Protection
The Island operates a policyholder protection scheme which would, in the event of a Life Insurance company being unable to meet its liabilities, pay affected policyholders up to 90% of amounts owed to them by way of compensation. Unlike many protection schemes, this applies to all policyholders regardless of where they reside.
