The Isle of Man is one of THE economic success stories of the last 20 years. Now enjoying our 25th year of continuous growth our economy is growing at nearly 8% in real terms. The Isle of Man's GDP figure is 118% of the UK's based on 2006/07 figures. Our diverse economy is structured in the following way:

The Isle of Man can truly be considered as an international centre for business and finance:
- The Isle of Man has been recognised as the 'leading offshore centre' in the City of London's second Global Financial Centres Index (September 2007) and has won Best International Finance Centre Award seven times out of the last 8 years.
- The Isle of Man's international Ship Register is supported by international companies offering specialist maritime services in both ship and yacht management.
- The Isle of Man is the most preferred location for non-UK companies wishing to incorporate when listing on the London stock Exchange's Alternative Investment Market (AIM). For instance, 75% of the Indian companies listed on AIM are incorporated in the Isle of Man.
- It is one of the busiest areas of film production in the British Isles, having co-produced and co-financed over 85 film, television drama and animation projects since 1995.
- High-tech manufacturers produce essential components for use in submarines jet aircraft, space shuttles, laser surgery equipment, gas/oil rigs and electric kettles.
