The Isle of Man Government Insurance and Pensions Authority is pleased to announce the release of the first consultative document on regulations subordinate to the Retirement Benefits Schemes Act 2000.
This consultative document is primarily concerned with the introduction of regulations governing the establishment and management of international retirement benefits schemes in or from the Isle of Man. These regulations when made will, in conjunction with the provisions of the Act, require the registration, and authorisation by the IPA, of all international retirement benefits schemes operating in or from the Isle of Man.
In addition to the international schemes regulations, the consultative document contains draft management and exclusion regulations that will apply to both international and domestic schemes operating in or from the Isle of Man.
