Isle of Man Insurance and Pensions Authority |
16th April 2002
David Vick has assumed the role of Chief Executive of the Isle of Man's Insurance and Pensions Authority (IPA). David was formerly the IPA's Deputy Chief Executive. He takes over from Dr Bill Hastings who retired at the end of March.
David has many years of experience with the IPA gathered in a wide variety of roles. He is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute and a former President of the Insurance Institute of the Isle of Man.
Commenting on his appointment, David Vick said:
"The development of the Isle of Man's insurance sector has been a good example of industry and Government, including regulators, working together to the benefit of policyholders, businesses and the Isle of Man itself. I am mindful and protective of this achievement and it will remain a key objective of the IPA that this success continues and to ensure that the Island remains a high quality, developing international insurance and pensions centre."
