This programme is designed for managers that have responsibilities for the operation and maintenance of buildings but do not have the technical expertise. The learning objectives are to enable managers to:
- Evaluate current arrangements
- Develop in-house procedures
- Ensure maintenance and inspection arrangements are adequate
The course content will provide basic information on topics relating to: appropriate legislation, workplace infrastructure, welfare arrangements, mechanical and electrical services, emergency arrangements, managing contractors, asbestos management and active monitoring of health and safety issues arising from the occupation and use of the building.
