Road Safety
School Crossing Patrol Service
The School Crossing Patrol Service in the Isle of Man plays an important role in child road casualty reduction.
There are 33 sites throughout the Island in both town and country areas and 4 relief Patrols who cover for sudden absence in all areas.
School Crossing Patrols are on duty in all weathers 2 or 3 times a day in term times and are considered to be a very vital member of the community.
Recruiting staff is always a problem and we are keen to hear from anyone who may be interested in joining the service as a School Crossing Patrol. All applications are considered and job share is an option. All successful candidates are required to pass a medical examination and reference and Police checks. Training is given on site at full pay.
