Special Parking Permits
Special Parking Permits are made under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1985.
Special Parking Permits can be provided for On Street Disc Zones free of charge for the following reasons:-
- Disabled persons near to their place of work.
- Organisations which may require to take their clients to hospital.
- Garages requiring parking for their clients' vehicles after completion of work.
- Miscellaneous.
All applications for Special Parking Permits are judged on their own merits and should be submitted on the headed notepaper of the relevant organisation to the address given in the Contact Icon at the top of this page.
The issue of a Special Parking Permit does not guarantee a parking place but they do exempt the holder from the time restrictions in disc zones.
