Legislation
---
The No-Smoking in Premises Regulations 2007 came into effect on 30 March 2008. From this date forward it became an offence to smoke in most ‘wholly enclosed’ and ‘substantially enclosed’ workplaces and public places, including work vehicles and public transport. To gain a better understanding of these regulations please view our legislation pages which also include Frequently Asked Questions and sensible advice on preventing fires and litter. Finally the resources and website page provides information about who to contact for advice regarding the legislation, details on signage, planning and some links to UK documents and worldwide smoking bans which exist in other countries you may visit. |
Secondhand Smoke
---
An information page has been made available to highlight the dangers of secondhand smoke (passive smoking) and how this can affect you and the people around you.
