DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH PERFORMANCE AND DELIVERY GROUP
The Department of Health Performance and Delivery Group is Chaired by Dudley Butt, MLC Member for Health. The Group meet monthly following the Department meeting, with a view to allowing a timely flow of relevant information between the two meetings. The over arching principle is that the membership should reflect the organisational chain of command that is responsible for delivery of day to day service and performance, plus a number of key senior managers who will attend in largely advisory roles.
The current members of the Performance and Delivery Group are:
| Name | Role |
|---|---|
| Dudley Butt MLC | Member for Health (Chair) |
| Lesley Keenan | Deputy Chief Executive |
| Norman McGregor Edwards | Director of Health Care Delivery |
| Dr Kishore | Director of Public Health |
| Simon Jackson | Director of Finance, Legislation and Corporate Services |
| Paul Harper | Director of Management Information and Technology |
| Barbara Scott | Noble’s Hospital Manager |
| Mr S Upsdell | Medical Director |
| Bev Critchlow | Director of Nursing, Midwifery and Therapies |
| Tony Jones | General Manager Primary Health Care |
The main focus of the group is reporting out-turn against predetermined measures or indicators, usually expressed in numerical or other quantifiable terms, to give a clear indication of organisational performance, linked to the Department of Health Strategy for the Future of Health Services in the Isle of Man, budget and agreed service improvements and enhancements. The group will become the initial ‘gatekeeper’ of any service improvement initiatives or business cases, to minimise unnecessary work in developing proposals which may not be sustainable or aligned to the Department’s Strategy.
