LOCAL RESEARCH ETHICS COMMITTEE
The provision of the National Health Service on the Island is set out in the NHS Act 2001.
The role of the Committee is to provide the independent advice to the Department, participants, researchers, sponsors, employers, care organisations and professionals on the extent to which proposals for research studies comply with recognised ethical standards.
The purpose of the Committee is to review any proposed study and to protect the dignity, rights, safety and well being of all actual or potential research participants.
Provisional dates for 2012 are as follows:
- January 16th
- March 19th
- May 21st
- July 16th
- September 17th
- November 19th
