The DTI’s focus in the coming years will be in the areas of IT/e-business including e-Gaming in all its forms.

e-Gaming businesses are ideally placed to exploit this trend due to the Island’s advanced telecommunications infrastructure which has been modernised to the point where it is now more than able to meet the needs of any e-business and is widely recognised to possess the best IT infrastructure of any off-shore jurisdiction in the world. This is matched with the strength-in-depth of its IT community which, in combination with the infrastructure benefits, presents a significant advantage to businesses locating to the Isle of Man rather than other off-shore locations.

The level of IT expertise on the Isle of Man is considerable with businesses, many of which are world leaders in their field with direct experience of providing solutions for e-Gaming, providing services to cover all of the requirements of the e-Gaming industry. These services include: programming, multi-media specialists, e-payment service providers, disaster recovery centres and KYC services as well as accountancy and banking services and specialists in e-Gaming law.
