The Department of Education and Children runs several competitions in schools each term, in partnership with Government Departments, charities and other organisations.

Competitions are planned to complement the curriculum and approval is required from the Department to run a competition in its schools. Please see the competition criteria below.

Schools are not under any obligation to enter competitions.
