Domicilium Limited was formed in early 2000 as a venture between PDMS Limited (a bespoke software and web design company) and an international specialist technology investment company and built on the existing business of Advanced Systems Consultants Ltd, who had been an internet service provider on the Isle of Man for over 5 years.

Advanced Systems and the Isle of Man were chosen by the investment company after a substantial independent study of all the major offshore jurisdictions. The Isle of Man was chosen because of the excellent telecommunications connectivity, the skills available and the receptive attitude of the Isle of Man Government.

We now have 3 state-of-the-art hosting centres in the Isle of Man and have representative operations located in many offshore jurisdictions. The Isle of Man centres have been designed to be totally resilient including multiple internet feeds, un-interruptible power supply is guaranteed through a diesel generator, a climate-controlled environment is maintained to protect against heat and humidity. Servers and all applications are monitored constantly with security foremost including a card entry system and visitor-escort policy.

We also quickly recognised the advantage of the Applications Service model and now have a comprehensive suite of products designed to aid offshore businesses. Applications Services means that the functions of software are provided as a service using the benefits of the internet to provide cost effective communications rather than a "product in a box" to be run on-site. This model allows for the service provider to invest in the facilities necessary to provide a quality solution, it allows access to customers as well as the company and it ensures that there is no need for additional costs and time to upgrade or maintain the systems. Our current solutions include; IPP which enables Corporate and Trust Administrators to provide their clients with an internet capability, Filesafe, a web based document storage for a secure and centralized provision of access to documents and data and multicurrency credit card payment processing.

Although Domicilium is a global solutions provider with services also available in Barbados, the Bahamas, and the British Virgin Islands and with sales offices in the United States of America and the Turks and Caicos Islands, the Isle of Man is at the core.

We believe that the Isle of Man is now at the top of the list of low tax jurisdictions for e-business. With a Government that believes in and supports offshore e-business as evidenced by The Electronic Transactions Bill 2000, the On-line Gambling Regulation Bill 2001 and the appointment, with substantial funding, of a director of E-commerce the Isle of Man is the most desirable low tax jurisdiction in the world to locate an e-business business.
