Synopsis	When Eva first heard about what happened to Joseph Lees, her father's cousin, about how he had lost his leg in an Italian marble quarry, she found that the thought of him would not leave her head. Now he walks towards her through her dreams, walks falteringly on his one good leg and his one crippled wooden leg, breaking her heart, reaching out to her, seducing her. Outside her dreams comes Harry Flyte the pig farmer, eager and quick in his movements, full of charm and insecurity, mad about sex and mad about Eva, mad to seduce her.
