The Disability Employment Service (DES) is provided by the Department of Trade and Industry to assist individuals with disabilities to gain employment, which may be paid or unpaid. DES also assists employers by providing guidance, assistance and equipment where appropriate. The Disability Employment Advisers work closely with the Job Centre, which is also operated by DTI, and both services are located in the same building.
