General Inquiries

Planning Administration is headed by Mr Ian McCauley, Director of the Planning and Building Control Directorate, and the offices are located on the First Floor of Murray House, Mount Havelock, Douglas, Isle of Man, IM1 2SF.

Members of the public may telephone our general enquiries on (01624) 685950 or report to the central counter also situated on the First Floor, which handles all the Department's enquiries. Alternatively, planning enquiries can be made by e-mailing planning@dlge.gov.im

Office opening hours are 9am to 5.30pm Monday to Thursday, 9am to 5pm Friday.

Counter opening hours are 9am to 5pm Monday to Thursday, 9am to 4.30pm Friday.

Development Control Officers

The Planning and Building Control Directorate has 5 Development Control Officers. These officers comprise of 2 teams, covering the East and West of the Island. They are also responsible for Development Control (both Residential and Commercial) in Douglas.
