Agricultural Material Testing
Routine compositional analysis of agricultural and horticultural soils are determined chiefly for the Isle of Man Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry.
The Government Laboratory also analyses soils for mineral and trace metal deficiency.
Plant materials such as grains, wheat, barley and straw are also analysed as part of the field trials for sludge disposal on land. Local limestone is also tested for its soil conditioning properties and hydroponic solutions for intensive greenhouse crop producers.
