Finance Unit
The main role of the Finance Office is to make creditor payments, on behalf of the Department, to various suppliers at a local, national and inter-national level. The Finance Office maintains a debtor control system, providing the Department with an efficient and effective means of debt recovery.
The Assistant Finance Officer is also the Registrar of Architects and the Registrar of Estate Agents.
In addition to its more traditional duties, the Finance Office deals with insurance claims (Public Liability, Vehicle and Material Damage), the setting of Burial Rates and the setting of Parish Rates.
