QUALITY OF SERVICE
The Mental Health Service mission statement describes its commitment to provide a comprehensive, high quality and effective Mental Health Service for the population of the Isle of Man. In order to achieve this the Mental Health Service has formed a Quality Initiatives Committee. The aims and objectives of this committee are as stated below: -
Aims of the Group - To directly influence the quality of patient care by: -
- Developing a multi-disciplinary approach to quality assurance
- Raising awareness of best practice and develop/initiate bench marking
- Fostering the development of new ideas
- Enabling others to promote a quality service
Group Objectives - To: -
- Foster quality initiatives throughout the Mental Health Service
- Identify training needs and opportunities in relation to quality
- Compile an annual quality initiatives report
- Disseminate quality issues throughout the service
- Communicate quality developments to service users
- Provide support and feedback to areas on issues such as standard setting
Complaints
We will endeavour to successfully address and resolve such issues as quickly as possible. Should you have a complaint please discuss this with your named carer or the manager of the part of the service that you are in contact with.
