PENSION FORECAST SERVICE

What is a Retirement Pension Forecast? | How can a Pension Forecast help me? | How much will it cost?

What is a Retirement Pension Forecast?

When you apply for a Pension Forecast we will send you an application form which asks for details like your National Insurance number and your marital & employment status. Based on the information you provide us and the records we keep about your National Insurance record, we can make an individual Pension Forecast for you.

The Forecast will tell you how much Basic Pension you have earned so far, how much you might have at pension age and if there is anything you can do now to improve your Basic Pension. It will also tell you how much Additional Pension you have earned so far and how much you might expect to have at pension age. The Forecast can also tell you about any Graduated Retirement Benefit you have. If you are widowed, a surviving civil partner, divorced or your civil partnership has been dissolved your forecast will tell you the amount of pension you can expect by using your late of former spouse's or civil partner's NI contributions.

How can a Pension Forecast help me?

The information we send to you will help you plan for your future and to see if your current savings are enough for you to live on in your retirement. If you are close to pension age, the information will help you to plan your retirement finances in detail and assess how much money you will need. If you are planning to consult a financial adviser about your retirement plans, then the information we can provide for you may help. If you are within four months of Pension Age then you will be sent a letter detailing your Retirement Pension anyhow.

How much will it cost?
