Blue badges are issued to people who are disabled or have extreme difficulty in walking long distances.They are obtained from Social Services for people receiving Disability Living Allowance higher rate mobility component. Parking concession for registered blind people or on health grounds may be obtained via a certificate from a General Practitioner.
People with a blue badge may park in places reserved for the disabled, which may be on a street or in a car park. These places are clearly marked.
