EMI CENTRE PROGRESSES
The EMI (Elderly Mental Illness) Centre is amongst one of four new major building projects being undertaken by the DHSS Capital Projects Team, Estate Services Directorate based at their offices at Ballamona Farm House.
The 32 bed-roomed EMI Centre is being constructed in the former grounds and woodlands of Farmhill Manor by building contractors Dandara Construction Limited.
The EMI Centre is a low energy building that has been designed for reducing fuel emissions and energy costs, without compromising the comfort of residents.
The Estate Services Directorate Capital Projects Manager, Alan Kelly, reports that he is pleased with the progression and quality of construction and estimates that the building will be completed by May 2009.
