By road from Douglas go to Quarterbridge and drive along Peel Road. At the oak tree at Bradden Church take the turning to the right. Along the road for 250m to the roundabout. Access will be on the right hand exit from the roundabout and up the drive. The first turning left will take you past the helicopter pads and onward to Newlands . The second left will take you into the visitor's car park. The third left leads to the Dhss Education and Training Department and the Main entrance to the hospital.

To/from Hospital main entrance and Lower Douglas: Services 5, 6, 11, 11A, 13, 13A
To/from Newlands shelter and Lower Douglas: Services 9A, 9B
To/from Hospital main entrance and Peel/Ramsey: Services 5, 6,
To/from Hospital main entrance and Onchan/Laxey: Services 13, 13A
Services 5 & 6 run daily including evenings. Services 9A, 9B, 11 & 11A run daytime Mondays to Saturdays. Services 13 & 13A run daytime Mondays to Fridays. Services 9A, 9B, 11, 11A, 23, 24, 25, 25A, 26 & 26A still cover the medical facilities at the Westmoreland Road site at various times of the day. Car Parking
There is a designated visitors car park opposite the hospital main entrance. You will find parking spaces for disabled drivers at the front of the hospital, beside the Day Care Unit and to the rear of the hospital for those patients with appointments at the Chiropody Clinic.
DATU (Newlands) & Diabetes Centre - Patients’/visitors’ car park
Take the first LEFT turning from the main hospital drive and follow the signs for Newlands. Once passed the helicopter pads, bear RIGHT and then LEFT, and proceed forwards to DATU (Newlands) or RIGHT for the Diabetes Centre. Please note that parking outside the Diabetes Centre is very limited, there is a disabled parking space and a set down space only.

There are set down points outside the main entrance, DATU (Newlands) and the Diabetes Centre.

Smoking
We encourage no smoking whilst you are in Hospital. Patients who wish to smoke should use only the facilities provided. Please do not smoke in other areas.
Meals
We cater for a wide range of tastes and offer a choice of meals. If you have particular needs or would like to speak to the Catering Manager, please tell your named nurse.
Meals are served at the following times:

The Hospital cantine is not available to visitors however facilities are provided in the main reception (atrium):
Main Entrance Shop selling Sweets, newspapers,Flowers,Greeting cards and some toiletries. Opening times 8am until 8.30pm 7 days a week.
Spill the beans cafe selling drinks and snacks opening hours:
Mon-Fri 9am - 5pm
Saturday 10am - 5pm
Sunday 12am - 4.15pm

Mixed sex wards
In some of our wards we nurse only women or only men. On those wards which are mixed, men and women are nursed in separate areas and separate bathroom/toilet facilities are provided. We hope you will find our arrangements acceptable. If not, please raise this with your named nurse.
Donations
It is not necessary to make gifts to the hospital for the care you have received. Individual members of staff are not permitted to accept monetary gifts. However, a word of thanks is always appreciated.
If you do wish to make a donation please send it to the General Office at Noble's Hospital. Cheques should be made payable to Noble's Hospital Gift Funds and specify the purpose of your donation e.g. General Purposes, Ward 4 or CCU.
Enquiries
To keep calls to a minimum please ask one member of your family to act as the hospital link and to then inform the rest of your family. We will advise close friends and relatives of your progress unless you specifically request that this information is not shared. to be ammended
Fire safety
Fire alarms are tested weekly (usually Tuesday mornings), and make a loud noise. Please do not be unduly alarmed. In the event of a real fire, please remain calm until directed by the ward staff who are trained in what to do.
Guide dogs
Guide dogs are welcome in hospitals but may not be allowed on certain wards, for example the Intensive Care and Coronary Care Units. This is in the interests of the patients. Please check with the nurse in charge first.
