CLINICAL DIRECTORATES
The clinical services are managed in according to the needs of Patients and the requirements of Clinical Governance, encompassing the key Clinical Teams.
Five Clinical Directorates namely, Medicine & Elderly, Surgery and Women & Children, Trauma & Orthopaedics and Pathology, will adopt a so-called Model C format i.e.: An accountable Clinical General Manager/Department Manager leading the Clinical Directorate in partnership with one or more Lead Consultant(s).
The Clinical Directorates of Critical Care and Radiology will work to a so-called Model A organisation, each having a Clinical Director working with an existing Clinical General Manager/Department Manager.
