AIMS & MISSION

Aims

In our continuing commitment to delivering good health care to the public we will:-

  1. Implement quality assurance by means of the clinical governance strategy.
  2. Develop the management organisation including clinical directorates and clinical teams with devolved decision-making.
  3. Develop business planning as an essential process for improving the effectiveness and efficiency of our business.
  4. Aim to keep waiting lists to an absolute minimum and seek to manage our capability effectively.
  5. Accept the jurisdiction of the UK professional bodies e.g. GMC and the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and of UK training bodies e.g. Royal Colleges
  6. Implement performance reviews, job plans and appraisals as a means of focusing professional and management resources to achieve success.
  7. Develop IM & T to support clinical and management decision-making and improve data quality by means of the e-PRAIS strategy.
  8. Encourage openness and transparency in our dealings, an atmosphere of mutual respect and trust and a no blame culture.
  9. Ensure the success of the commissioning programme by achieving a seamless transfer to, and efficient and effective operation of, TNH.
