TRAINEE'S COMMENTS
Trainee's Comments
The Foundation programme trainers at Nobles Hospital are continuously trying to improve and refine the programme to meet the needs of the trainees. We encourage all our speakers to facilitate interactive sessions based on case scenarios. Our trainees' are encouraged to complete evaluation forms after every formal teaching session. Their comments are considered very important; subsequent sessions are adjusted according to their training needs and preferences.
Some of the Foundation trainee's comments so far about being based at Nobles for their Foundation Programme include:
Dr Nevin Mark Fernandez F2 2007-2008
Urology F2 post: The rotation provides ample amount of time of exposure to the subject of Urology and is supplemented by an excellent team who are ready to provide both help and guidance at the drop of a hat. Procedural skills are also developed further making one a more competent and diverse doctor.
Dr Khine Swe Win F2 2007-2008
Psychiatry rotation was excellent. I was attached to adult psychiatry, but could attend councelling sessions, community visits, Drug and Alcohol psychiatry, consultant’s clinics, court and prison along with consultant etc. Consultants and seniors are exceptionally supportive and always ready to help out at all time. Dr Byrne (consultant psychiatrist) is the one who checked all my applications and CV when I applied [to] ST jobs. Accommodation is awesome. I am sure Nobles has one of the best hospital residents in the UK.
Current F2 doctor describes A&E as
“a well-organised, well-supported, happy department”.
