Library and Information Service
DHSS Education and Training CentreThe multidisciplinary library based in the DHSS Education and Training Centre at Keyll Darree has a comprehensive collection of information resources which includes books, journals, reports and audio-visual material. We also provide access to the Internet and quality electronic resources.
All staff involved in the delivery of health and social care services and/or have an identified need for information in this area are entitled to use the services and facilities of the library. N.B. licensing restrictions may prevent some staff being given an Athens password.
Though the library service principally supports the information needs of staff within the Isle of Man Government, we have extended our access policy to provide a service to anyone on the island who has a legitimate need to find and use health and social care information, including island charities, self-help groups and the private sector. In some circumstances, this may not always constitute access to the full range of library and information services, but reference facilities are always offered to any individual who may need to use the service.
