The Probation Service assists in realising the Departmental goal of providing Community Safety and in addition works in the family courts of the Island where its Family Court Welfare Service operates independently, but under the umbrella of the wider Probation Service. The Probation Service has officers working in the Criminal Courts, the Isle of Man Prison, the Drug and Alcohol Team (DAT), the Youth Justice Team and the Family Court Welfare Service. The service will strive to protect the public, working in partnership with relevant agencies, ensuring the objectives are measurable, achievable and proportionate. All practice will actively promote integrity, respect and anti discriminatory behaviour to support community safety. |



The Probation Service, based at Prospect House, Prospect Hill, Douglas, works alongside the Police and the Prison services as the Department of Home Affairs’ criminal justice divisions.
