IntroductionWelcome to the official website of the Isle of Man Probation Service. The Probation Service, based at Prospect House, Prospect Hill, Douglas, works alongside the Police and the Prison services as the Department of Home Affairs’ three criminal justice divisions. The Probation Service assists in realising the Departmental goal of providing Community Safety and in addition works in the family courts of the Island where its Family Court Welfare Service operates independently, but under the umbrella of the wider Probation Service. Chief Probation Officer David Sellick heads a team of 13 fully trained staff with five probation officers working in the Criminal Courts, two probation officers in the Isle of Man Prison and a further probation officer in both the Drug and Alcohol Team (DAT) and the Youth Justice Team and two officers in the Family Court Welfare Service.
