Western Neighbourhood Policing Team

Inspector Mark Britton WNPTWelcome to the webpage for the Western Neighbourhood Policing Team. Our area is responsible for policing Peel and the parishes of German, Marown, Michael and Patrick.

Western Neighbourhood Inspector, Mark Britton says:

'There is a real sense of community in the West of the Island. The team at Peel Police Station is committed to maintaining the low crime and excellent quality of life in the area. I want our team to involve, inform, consult and provide policing for our community - the best for the west. Our priorities are towards youth, road safety and our desire to be at the forefront of community policing.'

The overall policing style is to be at the heart of our community giving 100% in our efforts to make the area safer and improve the quality of life for the whole community. We are proud of what we do and committed to what we are trying to achieve.

We can only operate to our full potential with the co-operation of the community and to this end Western NPT has built solid partnerships with various local agencies. Each officer has discrete responsibility for a geographic area and individual areas of community safety including youth, crime reduction, the farming community, the retail sector, licensing, the elderly, road safety, Neighbourhood Watch and intelligence.

Western NPT's main priorities for 2008-2009 deal with youth, roads and community policing. We operate ongoing initiatives to deal with our priorities and these can be found in the link to the Community Initiatives page.
