Isle of Man Police Dog Unit

The Isle of Man Police Dog Unit comes under the umbrella of the Operational Support Unit, providing specialist dog capabilities to both
the police service and government agencies.
This ensures we advance the force policing plan as well as catering for local needs and requirements.
The unit can be seen at the Island's ports and airport, working with Customs and Excise, in addition to their daily role patrolling the Island.
The team comprises the following Handlers and Dogs:
- PS Ian Kelly Explosive Detection Dog (Cocker Spaniel)
- PC Tony McNally GP Dog (Belgian Shepherd)
- PC Ray Brondon GP Dog (German Shepherd) Passive/Proactive Drug/Firearm Detection Dog (Labrador)
- PC Rob Isaac GP Dog (Belgian Shepherd) Passive/Proactive Drug/Firearm Detection Dog (Labrador)
- PC Gianni Fabrizio GP Dog (German Shepherd) Proactive Drug/Firearm/Cash Detection Dog (Springer Spaniel)
The unit is forward thinking and trains on the Island in accordance with ACPO guidelines.
