What we do

The Isle of Man Fire and Rescue Service is committed to making the communities within our Island a safe place to live, work and visit. Our service is working hard to drive down emergency incidents and promote a safer environment.

The Isle of Man Fire and Rescue Service corporate objectives are:

• Prevention – To save lives and stop unnecessary injuries through more effective action to prevent fire and other emergency incidents from occurring through a refocusing of the service.
• Protection – We will develop, communicate and enforce fire safety legislation efficiently in order to protect those persons for whom the legislation was written.
• Response – We will continue to ensure that the Island's Fire and Rescue Service is well prepared, trained and equipped to respond to the many challenges it faces.
