What we do

The core functions of the Division are to:

• Provide, manage and maintain the Government radio communications infrastructure
  • The communications system utilises TETRA technology and is currently in use by 21 organisations across the Isle of Man Government
  • 

• Provide, manage, maintain and operate the Emergency Services Joint Control Room (ESJCR)
  • The ESJCR which is the first of its kind in the world takes all calls whether 999, emergency or radio for the three Emergency Services and despatches the appropriate resources.
  • 

• Provide site sharing facilities for both the public and provide sector at the radio sites which form the communications infrastructure.
