Activity Reports
Every month the performance of TETRA (Terrestrial Trunked Radio network) and the Emergency Services Joint Control Room (ESJCR) is measured against stringent targets.
With TETRA the target is to have the system available in its entirety 98.5% of the time at every site and link. If, for instance, any one of its 21 transmitters around the Isle of Man should fail and be out of action for any length of time, that would be reflected in downtime in its performance figures.
With regard to ESJCR, the target is to answer each 999 call within five seconds. Currently the average is below two seconds for responding to emergency calls. These are exceptionally high target and performance figures.
The Isle of Man is the only jurisdiction that publishes these figures. Further details can be found in the activity reports. Reports are published monthly and annually.
