Certificate of Craftsmen

Scheme for the Certification of Craftsmen 1990:

The purpose of this scheme is to maintain a register of Craftsmen engaged in the following trades: Electrician, Flat Roofer, Gas fitter, Glazier, Joiner, Mason/Bricklayer, Painter and decorator, Plasterer, Plumber, Plumber and heating engineer, Scaffolder, Slater/TilerWall and floor Tiler

Registration within the scheme is a requirement for any person wishing to:

1. work on Government contracts

2. verify their status regarding a work permit application

Evidence supporting an application would typically include proof of a completed apprenticeship and any certificates gained in relation to that craft.
