| Q | What ports of registry are available? |

| A | Douglas, Castletown, Peel or Ramsey. |
| Q | What if the original title documents are not available until the actual delivery? |

| A | We will accept scanned copies with an undertaking that the originals will follow. |
| Q | Do any documents need notarising? |
|---|---|
| A | Yes, title documents outside of the UK will need to be notarised. |
| Q | Can registrations be done outside of normal working hours? |
|---|---|
| A | Yes, vessel and mortgage registrations can be done outside of normal working hours by prior arrangement with a Registrar at no additional cost. |
| Q | How do I obtain a Transcript of Registry? |

| Q | Is there a renewal period for registration? |
|---|---|
| A | No, not for merchant vessels, pleasure yachts, commercial yachts or fishing vessels. |
| Q | Are there any annual fees? |
|---|---|
| A | With effect from the 01st April 2010, there will be an annual registration fee – after the initial registration fee - of £1,000 for merchant vessels and commercial yachts. The annual fee for pleasure yachts will be £112. |
| Q | Can registration documents be submitted to any other parties? |

| A | Yes, there are representatives in London, Singapore, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Tokyo and Piraeus. |

| Q | How do I close the register? |
|---|---|
| A | Submit a letter signed by an authorised officer of the owning company if owned by a body corporate, or by the individual owner, requesting closure. |
| Q | Does the Isle of Man issue a deletion certificate? |
|---|---|
| A | The Isle of Man issues a “closed” transcript of register which is evidence that the vessel has been deleted from the register. |
| Q | Does the Isle of Man issue bunker certificates for non-Isle of Man registered vessels? |
|---|---|
| A | Yes, providing their own flag state cannot issue them. |
