Renewal of Aircraft Certificates
The Certificate of Airworthiness is renewed annually. The certificate may be renewed up to 60 days prior to expiry without any loss of validity. Extensions are only considered in the most exceptional circumstances.
All other certificates may be renewed up to 60 days in advance and will be dispatched once the new certificates have been issued.
Please note that renewal and payment of aircraft radio licences should be arranged directly with Radio Licensing, [email protected] .
The Certificate of Airworthiness (C of A) is valid for 1 year and to assist an operator and their Nominated Airworthiness Technical Representative (NATR) plan for the renewal survey, the C of A can be renewed up to 60 days early without any loss of continuity.

The airspace operational approvals are granted for 3 years and can be renewed up to 60 days early without any loss of continuity. Please complete Form 4a Renewal Application for Operational Approvals.
The certificate can be renewed up to 60 days prior to the expiration date of the current validation.
Please complete:
Form 6 Application for (GFCL) Flight Crew Licence Validation or
Form 7 Application for Maintenance Engineer Licence Validation as appropriate.
Remember to include copies of any licences or documents which have been changed since the previous application.

To support the renewal of AWOPS approvals, the following documentation must be submitted with the completed Form 4a Renewal Application for Operational Approvals.:
- Operating Standards and Procedure Manual (RP37 or RP54) or extracts from operators own Operations Manual and completed cross reference matrix; and
- Evidence of continued monitoring and analysis of all CAT II/III approach and landings since the issue of the current approval.
