Guest Chefs at 2012 Isle of Man Food & Drink Festival

The Isle of Man Food & Drink Festival is building a reputation for attracting celebrity chefs to the event, adding their personal sparkle to proceedings and producing mouthwatering recipes, using local Manx produce. The Hairy Bikers were our first guests in 2009 and they were followed by Gino D'Acampo in 2010 and Stacie Stewart and James Martin in 2011.

For 2012, we are pleased to announce that TV Chef Ainsley Harriott will be attending the Festival on Saturday 22nd September. Ainsley is well known for his appearances in Ready, Steady Cook and is currently to be seen on BBC1's Great British Food Revival. He has starred in TV cookery programmes all over the world, published many cookery books and has a successful food range, some of which is available on Island. Ainsley is known for his ebullient personality and his passion for creating fresh, fun, accessible meals which are easy to prepare and cook.

Ainsley will give 2 cookery demonstrations, judge the finals of the I Love Manx Professional Chef competition and meet producers and visitors to the Festival.

Ainsley will also be attending an Isle of Man Hospice fundraising event on Friday 21st September at The Mailbox where he will entertain with a cookery demonstration. For more information about this event, contact Hospice on 647431.
