Description

An Introduction to Marine Conservation – Isle of Man and International Tutor: Dr Fiona Gell

This course is a diverse introduction to marine life, how we use the sea and practical ways to get involved in marine conservation, illustrated with examples from the Isle of Man and around the world. The course is suitable for anyone interested in marine biology, fisheries, the sea around us and our relationship with the oceans. The course also features Ramsey Marine Nature Reserve and the special marine life of Ramsey Bay.

This course is part of the University of Liverpool’s Centre for Manx Studies Continuing Education programme. It can either be taken for University-level credits (the accredited version) or for general interest (the non-accredited version):
Accredited version: 10 credits.

Cost:
Fee (non-accredited): £100 (Concessionary fee: £80.00)
Fee (accredited): £130.00 (Concessionary fee: £110.00)
