Forestry Warden
The Forestry, Amenity and Lands Division employs a Warden to patrol the hills, forests and glens under its control. The Warden will give advice and guidance to anyone using any of these areas to ensure they are able to enjoy them safely and to the full. He is also responsible for discouraging irresponsible or inappropriate use and enforcing the Forestry Byelaws. The Warden will often attend organised events taking place on Department land and can advise on issues of public safety and conservation.

The Forestry Warden has conducted many guided walks which have explored some of the most beautiful and hidden parts of the Manx countryside. Whilst a schedule of formally guided walks isn't planned for 2006, the Warden will be building up a series of interesting and varied self-guided walks, details of which can be downloaded and printed below.
For more information, please telelephone the Warden on 490714 or the Access and Recreation Officer on 801263.
