Pig Premium Quota Regulations 1999

The Department fixes a maximum number of pigs eligible for premium each year. This annual quota is divided between individual producers, and only those who will rear a minimum of 10 animals in the year are eligible The premium is currently £20.02 per carcass for animals that are slaughtered at the Meat Plant, meet the required standard and are sold by a butcher.
