Advisory Service
The agricultural advisory staff based at Knockaloe Farm provide a free service to dairy and beef farmers requiring general advice.
Types of advice available:-
- Grassland management and grazing advice
- Livestock feeding and feed rationing
- Silage and hay production
- Cattle housing
- Cattle handling facilities
- Cattle breeding
- General herd health
- Financial including farm budgets and dairy costings
The advisory staff are in constant contact with dairy and beef specialists around the UK and Southern Ireland so when more detailed advice is required farmers can get help from some of the top advisers and agricultural researchers.
Silage, hay and ruminant feed sampling and analysis can also be arranged with staff at Knockaloe.
