| The River Management Project is a 3 year joint initiative between the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries & Forestry (DAFF), Department of Transport (DoT) and Department of Local Government & the Environment (DLGE) to promote best practice in management of the Island’s watercourses.
As well as facilitating various within-Government initiatives, Dr Karen Galtress, the River Management Project Officer, can provide free advisory visits to watercourse owners/tenants regarding fisheries and wildlife conservation, water quality maintenance, flood prevention and bank erosion. Illustrated talks and guided walks can also be arranged for organised groups. |
